One of the most unique and powerful qualities of our XYPN community is that it drives itself on collaboration, not competition. Whether it’s within the member forums or on the VIP community Facebook page, you’ll experience an unfamiliar level of comfort when interacting with the members of our movement, and there’s no better place to experience that than our national conference, such as our upcoming #XYPN17.
After both of our previous conferences, I heard from member after member that they left the conference with more energy and passion than when they arrived. As one member says, “New faces, new ideas, new opportunities” are in abundance during all hours of our event. For those of you feeling stagnant, or like you’re in a professional lull, or are just looking for some inspiration, attending this conference may very well be your ticket to success.
"I got to meet passionate planners from all over the world. You get to meet people in person for the first time after talking with them virtually for months. The free swag. The learning."
- #XYPN16 Attendee
Why? Because the power of human capital is endless. During a recent conversation with Stephen Alred, XYPN’s Director of Advisor Success, he recounted numerous stories from members who credit ‘one little change’ that made all the difference in their firm’s success. That ‘one little change’ could be a fee change, a marketing adjustment, a refocus, or a relationship.
Michael Kitces, XYPN’s fearless co-founder, recently talked about the power of ‘one little change’. Michael addressed the weak argument of attending conferences just for CE credits by reminding us that one tidbit of knowledge, one nugget of information, one idea, could forever change our firm’s trajectory - thus making any conference worth it so long as we can find one of those nuggets. At #XYPN17, we make that easy by the inherent power of the community we’ve created. Whatever that tidbit may be, if we welcome the opportunity to learn it or adopt it, we are likely to experience its power.
Attending XYPN’s national conference is your ticket to these tidbits of potential. The content and sessions will surely get your brain moving. But don’t ignore the power of a simple handshake, or a quick shoulder bump in line for some breakfast pastries. By attending, and by involving yourself, you’re taking the first step to increase your chance of changing your firm and your firm’s path.
The secret to optimizing on this capital is to take advantage of it.
Don’t be shy when you work with members of the XYPN movement: you may just meet a future business partner, study group member, friend, mentor, mentee, or confidant. By talking and interacting with the attendees, you open yourself up to a world of untapped knowledge and potential. Don’t stifle it. Throw your hand out there and introduce yourself. You won’t know who is on the other side of that handshake until you give them the opportunity to tell you. Chances are, you both will have a little nuggets to share with each other that could forever change your future.
Our conferences gather the most passionate, capable and dedicated advisors around the country - all of whom are ready to collaborate. Just imagine the level of human interaction, capital and potential housed within the walls of #XYPN17!
